There is usually a short time between snow melt and the first mosquito hatch every spring.
The grass and underbrush are saturated. Walking in the woods is an eye opening experience because there are few leaves to block the views.
Our summer birds return, calling their mates and claiming their territories.
We survived another winter and there are sign of hope, and what will be, all around.
